Fantastic that some are still in use - the youngest 15s must be 40-50 yrs old?
My late Uncle Roy demonstrated how to drive one, he reckoned the secret was to sit with the haulage cable in "the nick of your arse". Whiskers must of chafed a little 😉
Mind you he had mangled fingers from trapping them between the idler pully and the rope.
