On my Poynton colliery ramble I went to photograph the Norbury Pit Engine House. I feel a bit daft on this one as I passed it for years way over the fields whilst driving home.
"Looks just like an engine house" I used to say to myself, but being unaware of Poynton districts mines I always put off visiting :curse: .
How many other engine houses had external clocks?? I am sure I have seen other references and the odd picture perhaps but would be interested to know if it was particularly rare?
