Not sure if this has been mentioned before, but saw it advertised on the wall in our local archives last night.

The Mining Plans Portal is a partnership of public sector bodies who have come together to make information about the extent of historic underground mining of non-coal minerals in Britain more accessible.

The aim of this website is to make information about underground mining records available directly, as well as to guide you to organisations that will be able to provide more detailed information when you need it.

This portal has been around for over 6 months now but, unfortunately, although they've scanned all the plans, they have not hinted yet as to how they will offer this as a public service. You may have to wait a while longer before you can actually get any information from this source and it won't be cheap.
Can't understand 'ow I got the sack boay, I burnt twice s'much coal as they other stokers

Yep it was discussed last May.

Have been keeping an eye on it & they still seem to have very few plans available 😞
