Nice photo that one Ferret, Just a shame some clot has seen fit to scribble his name on the wall to the right Ralph 07, and we know who it is!

Why go exploring these places and deface them at the same time?? it's not the done thing!

That's Ralph for you... be it bad grammar, sitting in the rusty cart in Wheal Jane nearly destroying it, sitting on rotten wood above Cusvey, decending shafts with questionable saftey gear, pissing all over levels in mines he explores etc... he's always there to provide stupid entertainment and irritance!

A few interesting points:-

I was there with Ferret and I can vouch that the photo took about 30 attempts and about 2 hours to set up.

You can see the old tide mark on the wall from before Wheal Jane re-started pumping/before the pollution incident.

That wall is actually like a graffiti alley anyway and there are the names of everyone. There are several places also like this, cligga, boards at Jane. If anyone is a punk and needs shouting at for using a spray can, it's the CSM.

I'm hoping that's a joke Stu.
The water has never ever been up that high, in fact the water in the shaft has been pretty stable +or - a metre at worst for at least the last 30 odd years. The crap on the wall was due to when Wheal Jane were mucking the place out and it was like the Klondike in there. A very busy place.

They must have used masking tape to get such a lovely straight line!!!

I stand corrected....

I assumed the nangiles adit, before blow out must have had a fair old head behind it, judging by the amount of water discharged, I assumed it had to be deeper, considering the amount of stoping which must have been filled above adit....

Hmmmm. So where did all the water come from then?
