Sorry all.... It obviously can be done but I'm tired and cranky... How do I edit a mine description?.... I have lots of info I can add but dont see an edit link... its probably dead simple and have looked straight thru it.... Regs ICLOK :surrender:

Editing a mine entry is only possible for mines you've personally added; otherwise we run the risk of people changing things all over the place; which I fully accept that the vast majority of members wouldn't do, but the safeguard is there just in case.

If the mine in question is one you've added, then any page that shows a link to it; for example a mine name search, or the mines A-Z, or the 'mines by mineral type' / 'mines by OS sheet' will also show an 'edit' and 'delete' link.

If the mine in question isn't one you added, then the easiest thing is to post the revised description to the forum and one of the admins will revise it for you, and of course credit you for the enhanced description.

If you look for the mine using the mine search box on the left, it will bring up your mine and should have an edit or delete box next to it. Only for the mines you have added yourself though. If i have told you incorrectly, then im sure Simonrl will tell you!
If your struggling, let me know what you want doing and i will do it for you. :thumbsup:

Thanks for responses.... But what do I do then to edit a mine added by someone else.... I have alot of data and would love to expand some description,... from well a name alone.

Scrub that last statement.... am now Dinorwig'd out having done an 8 hour session there .... this has obviously affected my ability to read the answers I'd been given...Bah 🙂
