The Association of Industrial Archaeology produce an Industrial Heritage Guide Book for the County for which they hold their Annual Conference and these  have been reduced substantially in price.  They are A5 , softback, 48 pages approximately and quality printed. They tell you about and describe all sorts of Industrial buildings from Brickworks, Windmills, air raid shelters, mines  etc . The guide provides an address and grid reference at £2.00 each they are a steal

What area does the West Midlands book cover please? It says West Midlands Iron District but where exactly is that?

yes the title is a bit of an odd one. Effectively because the making of Iron in this region Covers South Staffordshire, some of Worcestershire , Black Country (Dudley, Walsall, Sandwell and Wolverhampton) City of Birmingham and what is described as as mid severn valley ( based around the railway Kidderminster to Bridgnorth)

I have just received the last 4 copies of the Northamptonshire volume, I understand a local society took the rest
