Talking of Shropshire mining plans, I remember one of Ivor Brown's mates, who was a leading light in the Shropshire Mines Research Group, telling me that he was going to reprint a load of abandoned Shropshire mine plans and sell them as a reprinted journal in order to raise funds for the group.
Sounds as if you have come across a copy.
Fraid I should remember his name, but at the minute, it completely escapes me.

Thanks,for the Amazon link!
The cover of folio, reminded me that, somewhere in the Lawson, archive I think I have a copy of it.
So I did a trawl, and lol and behold I found the volume.
In the introduction of it, it states, that of the plans were collected by Percy Blight.
Now he was a mining surveyor, and several of the North of England mine plans I have here, are signed by him.
It also goes on to state that the original plans were deposited in the Oswestry public library, and there they were coped and reduced to A4 size, by a Mr T Vaughan, around 1963.
Ivor Brown then republished them in June 1972, under the auspices of the Shropshire Mining Group.

Disclaimer: Mine exploring can be quite dangerous, but then again it can be alright, it all depends on the weather. Please read the proper disclaimer.
