Feeling a bit guilty after the mine artefact thread, so need to explain. Had this boring leg for over 30 yrs, it came from a clay working in the Elland area, that was to be turned into a landfill site & no longer exists.

There are also a few CEAG bottle lamps, these were unearthed c1970 by motor scrapers that were levelling the muckstack at Lepton Edge Colliery, they were thrown in a skip along with other scrap, so I "rescued" a few.
There are 8 or 9 coal pick blades, a couple have ferrules attached.
I'd like to think all these could be used to restore a mine site but as long as they don't end up on ebay;)
Collect Huddersfield area, pm for details, John

The picks are spoken for.
Yes Roger, battery handlamps. As you can imagine, they've suffered a bit in their time spent buried. I have a better example that was used at Low Laithes Colliery, Wakefield your's if you want it.

John has given me a map of the South Yorkshire/ Derbyshire/Nottingham coal mining area which is about 2ft x 6.5ft in size.
It shows the ground level with some mines and the strata below ground which are continuous over the plan and named, also rock bands. Geology type plan.
I also have another of the Silkstone/ Barnsley area. they are tatty round the edges being about 144 year old and fragile. It is too good to loose.
Pm me with your email address if you would like a digitised one.

Those are Ceag 2V pillared hand lamps, got about 10 of them myself. They also did a 4V version and a Pillerless version.

I use mine underground all the time, fantastic lights. Was hoping to restore a load for our history trips into Cwmorthin as they are very practical and easy to maintain.

I'd certainly take them off your hands and see them put back into use underground, if you're coming North Wales direction at any point...

Hi Ty Gwyn, photo should clarify what was meant when I said attached. "Including" might have been better, lol.

All the other stuff went but did find the one pictured, anyone who wants it can collect from HD9, HD3, or WF5.

Plenty more to come though, watch this space. Some will be free & some not so free, lol.
