I'd suggest that selling Minerals on this site is about as relevent as selling a stuffed Eagle on a birdwatching website...

Of course I'm SURE any particular individuals collections and list of items to sell is just Pick-Ups and items reclaimed from spoil heaps...

But i've seen enough chisel marks, smashed formations, emptied out Vugs and suspicious looking oval holes in a wall underground to know that if some Mineral Collectors think they can either add to their collection or make some money...they'll stop at nothing...

This isn't intended as a slur on any underground explorer that picks up the odd bit from the floor that catches their eye...we've all done that...but everyone knows "serious" collectors don't spend hundreds of hours underground occasionally coming across a small specimen on the floor...they travel with hammers picks and chisels...and destroy what we ALL enjoy!

I think the position has been made clear on this subject and that this will be an end to it.
We must all remember that this member was a new one and unaware of any problems it may cause.

Yes mineral collecting is a sore subject.

However taking a small sample from a bountiful area (e.g. Cligga) in a mine for a personal collection if you have a serious interest is different to raping a mine with rare minerals e.g what happened at Penberthy croft IIRC

Disclaimer: Mine exploring can be quite dangerous, but then again it can be alright, it all depends on the weather. Please read the proper disclaimer.
