Fantastic Mark, thank you. I've no doubt we'll be back for the Wad Mine.

OK - Who's next?

Great to see you all there.

I am happy to host the next one and I might be prepared to contribute.

If you want to show us something, all you need is a powerpoint or similar of your presentation. We can sort the rest out.

It can be a short 10 minuter or longer if you want. That way you can feature one particular mine or a whole mining area.

If we have a few short ones we can put them together to make a longer virtual 'conference'.

I can do one on the story of the hearthstone mining at Betchworth, in Surrey, as I have just been collating together the various strands of evidence - not a huge number of illustrations and probably no more than 30 mins. I would need a bit of time to put a Powerpoint together as it's just a load of miscellaneous docs and images at the moment.

Mark and Mods -

A friend who can't make the Zoom talk tonight said to me "It would be great if the talks could be recorded and uploaded to the AN YouTube channel or made available to listen view on the website."

Don't know if this is possible but thought I'd pass on the suggestion....

Cheers, Neil

That sounds like a great idea - couldn't make the meeting 😞

Yes please. I was only able to catch the last 40 minutes, but what I did see was very interesting. I look forward to some more.

I can do "Iron ore mining in North Lincolnshire, inception to present day." if wanted. I have an existing powerpoint on file and can tweak it for an hour to suit.

Sounds good. That's an area I know absolutely nothing about, so definite thumbs up from me.

How would the Thursday 4th February suit you?

OK - looking for someone to fill the March slot now.

If you only want to do a short slot, I can fill in with one of mine.

Another area I know nothing about, so a definite vote for Peter from me.

I could do something on the sinking of the Morris shaft at Parys Mountain in the late '80s /early '90s ?

I have all the photos etc and have done it on a smaller scale before; it would be about 30 minutes. Combine it with someone from PUG giving a short overview of the history of the workings from ancient times? Not something I know too much about.

Don't commit me to a date just yet as I will need to digitise a load of photos/drawings etc and also brush up on my Zoom skills. All I ever do on Zoom is sit there muted and nod sagely ;)
