The East Cornwall Mining History Association are hosting an illustrated talk by Robert Waterhouse on "Mines and Mining in the Tamar Valley" at Stoke Climsland old school on saturday evening 4th March at 7pm.

Agreed. A bigger audience than expected methinks.

Robert Waterhouse covered a lot of ground with a lot of research material - fascinating stuff. His forthcoming walk and talk on the Tavistock Canal will be worth attending.

Robert is a lovely chap and extremely knowledgeable. He was heavily involved in the archeological exploration of Morwellham Quay and his work there has helped to explain the site in great detail.
I've chatted with him a couple of times and found him very approachable and helpful.
I just wish I lived nearer than I do.
Well, ok.......just one for the road then !
