Being sadly very behind in everything at the moment I'm giving very late notice of a little event we're having tomorrow at Caphouse Colliery - running tomorrow will be:

Dosco Mk.2 roadheader
BJD Ace coal cutter
Eimco rocker shovel
Joy loader (new to us!)
Hope shaft electric winder
Clayton battery electric BO-BO

Hopefully underground the Eimco 623 will be running and a compressed air haulage will be dragging a tub around.

There'll also be a science show about Davy with it being 200 years(ish) since his work for younger visitors.

If anyone wants to say hi I'm driving the winder at Hope.

BTW it's all free and there's also a craft fayre on for those of a non-mining bent...

We will be bringing the Classic Landrovers to visit over the Bank Holiday weekend though, so hopefully get chance to see some stuff at work then.

With a retired director and a new one in the job and our curatorial director now retired too we're looking at everything from top to bottom - one thing is more event based stuff going on and the machinery will hopefully be a big part of that!
No dates as yet but I promise I'll be more on the ball next time notice wise!!!
