We have had heavy snowfall overnight and the forecast for further Snow in the area tonight is not looking very good and likely to be heavy and having spoken to the team down there we have had to make the decision to pospone

I will advise on a new date once I have one

Apparently it's only going to get worse tomorrow so I had visions of us all living in Drakelow for a few days ;D

I've posted the news on DP as well.

I was sulking.

To be honest, it's a fair call and going ahead may have meant that some people would not have been able to attend.

Yes, **** happens, and there's an awful lot of the white stuff on the A5 at Tamworth.

Already had one overturned lorry....and it's a major route.

Been snowing 6 hours in the Midlands and still is....

It seems I made the right call, looking ou on my back garden there are about 5 inches of snow and its still coming down, by the sound of the wind in the night I suspect there will be a lot drifting in exposed places.

http://www.starlessriver.com/shop/  who like me had quite few orders for collection and like me was sad that he would be unable se you all face to face

It was 100% the right thing to do Mike.

The A55 was appalling last night. Lorry on its side near Bangor, down to one lane and covered in snow at Chester; and more snow overnight.

And it sounds like it would have been even worse in other parts of the country.

Absolutely - round here most roads are impassable unles you're driving a tractor, and even then it's a struggle. I'm just glad we managed to get all our ponies to within walking distance of home yesterday....
