It's a layby on the right hand side of the road when travelling towards Llangollen. It's further along the A5 than the pub, and a bit beyond Glyn Dyfrdwy.

I do not believe it has any parking restrictions - it didn't last time we used it at least.

Everybody OK with finding that?

We'll drive part way up - no further than the end of the public road. Then it's about a 25 to 30 minute walk up from there.

Steve are you taking your car up the track? Will you have your mates with you? Just trying to make sure that we have enough cars to get people up without blocking the lane. Room for 3 cars up there? I'll do a couple of trips up and down if required? :thumbup:

I am happy to rig a straight drop in, we prefer that with rope protection, instead of a deviation off the tree. Strictly a "use at your own risk" though. No problems if people want to move it out the way to rig their own though. The rope is a nice Marlow 10.5, should be quick as it's not seen that much use.

EDIT
You could have read that as we are rigging a deviation (sorry!)... we are *not*, it's a straight drop in from the anchors. Feel free to adjust to a deviation if you want one, I'll have slings etc left up top for you.

Another great day in where I always find to be a fascinating slate mine.

That was a great day out. What a fascinating mine - the almost horizontal vein makes it quite different to any slate mine I've visited before. Also was nice to meet new faces. Thanks for the use of the ropes, and again thanks Sinker for the lift. :flowers: :flowers:
