would be interested in any non-SRT trips if my dates work out.. getting to the tail end of a busy year offshore.

I don't do SRT and if anyone thinks they can embarrass me by hanging around outside while I eat breakfast, they are welcome to try.....

Work permitting, I hope to be along for some, if not all of it.

JH is a bit iffy at the moment, due to a recent collapse of deads in Bitch Pitch, but there's plenty of time for that to be rectified - I think it may be on the agenda for the TSG repair team soon, but no idea who would judge its suitability subsequently...watch the spaces, I guess...

Depending on SWMBO's plans, I'd hope to be able to get out for at least one day that weekend!

If JH is off the menu for now, maybe Oxlow-Maskhill if people want a big SRT trip?

Hi all, I'm going to try and sort this weekend out, as Simon (claims) he's getting snowed under!

So, the suggestions so far (i think) are:

Bage mine - if we can arrange a winch trip (does anyone have a contact with the Wirksworth Mines group?)

JH - looking unlikely due to Bitch Pitch

Oxlow/Maskhill - SRT

Any other suggestions?
Does anyone know if you can still access Side Mine?

Hi, Side Mine now under ownership of 'The Heights of Abraham' management, who so far as i understand will not allow access.
'Air' has become an issue locally to Oxlow, added to the safety of 'bitch pitch' both of which Jon & I could go and check nearer the date.
Whaley Ash may reply on here, if not p.m. him on ukcaving.
I'll try too.

I've got contact details for Ash and Caving Hippy from the Wirksworths so I'll get in touch with them.

Side is definitely off limits at the present time so forget that one, shame as I'd love to go back in....

Go on then OG- where do you suggest? Snake and Yould's were cracking trips last time! I was wondering about Mandale Mine - it's one of the oldest in Derbyshire i think? (although i'm sure several claim to have been started by the Romans!)

How extensive is Long Tor? It certainly looks like one that could do with some more photos- unless it's very short!
