I was in Smallcleugh on Monday I'll have you know. Furthermore, this trip is going to fall dangerously close to my birthday again, so this year if you'd all like to plan ahead and have a whip round etc. then that would be great. :offtopic: 😉

What about the one up in Bryn Rhydd? Its also a bunkhouse, they have a camp field and it is owned by some friends of mine :)

Problem is that there is only one shower albeit a very good one at that! 😉

OMG the summer meet / long weekend is only 4 weeks off!

In the absence of any further suggestions is everybody OK with using the same camp site again?

The other suggestion was the one down near Dolgellau - which would make sense if more of the trips were that way...

Trips:

I think a day in a very wet slate mine around Blaenau might be called for

Vanoord has an idea for something down south a bit - more from him on that

One of the big Corris slate mines - srt

Wouldn't be adverse to going back to Dinorwic and doing more of the snakes and ladders route

Exactly what we did on the last day last year :thumbsup: Was a cracking day out. Didn't all the snakes and ladders route mind, but had a very good wander.

Bryn Eglwys?

As in the Bryn Eglwys that's on the other side of the hill from the quarry that was on the news yesterday because it was so flooded that it was threatening to engulf an entire village?

I *suspect* it might be a bit damp in there.
