A new event has been added to the Events page.

Event name: See How They Run - Machines Running!

Date & time: 19/03/2011 at 10:00

Details: As part of National Science and Engineering week we're going to be powering up and demonstrating some of the objects from the museum's collection during the weekend of 19-20 March 2011.
Presently confirmed for running will be our Mk. 2 Dosco roadheader, British Jeffrey Diamond 'Ace' coal cutter and Eimco 21 rocker shovel. In addition the Caphouse steam winder and Hope Pit electric winder will be running as will the museum NG railway, with either our Clayton electric Bo-Bo or Huwood Hudswell 0-4-0 diesel flameproof loco's hauling services. Entry, as normal with the rest of the site and underground tour is free. Details will be getting posted on the museum website in the near future!

Now this would be something to see, would especially like to see the Eimco running.
