it was a fantastic trip, thanks to everyone involved in organising and running it. i would have come and said thanks in person if i knew what you looked like. I seem to have spent all day stalking Carabeener 😮

thanks to everyone for sharing photos, there were some serious looking photography gear there, and some lovely photos 😉 next time (big hint, please can we go back!!!) i need to bring shed-loads of spare batteries for my pathetic little camera, it died far too quickly :curse:

Very good coverage of the site...not always easy once you get in and start getting distracted, you must have been in there a while!! 🙂

Sadly I had some flu thing and missed the whole trip 😢

Many thanks to ALL involved in setting this trip up, what a fangtastic day out.
It was good to see old friends (even though one of them is about 6 feet tall, with a pony tail, goatee beard and octagonal purple sunglasses, and was merely a figment of my imagination) and even make a few new ones!
Roll on the next inter-forum meetup!

Nope: I was inside in the dark, with a helmet on ;)

Looking at the book, there's a fair bit to see in Tunnels 2 & 3 which I missed, not to mention a few of the tunnels having signage remaining (Edd found at least one of these).

I think it might be best to leave it a year or so before a return trip?
Hello again darkness, my old friend...

There or thereabouts, I agree. And I would be interested in this return trip too.

Chris.

I've finally sorted out some of my photos from the weekend, some can be seen here,

http://www.flickr.com/photos/oldexplorer/sets/72157626361571775/

Will probably post some here later although strictly it is not mine related.

I only found one set of initials carved into the walls, I would have expected to see plenty more given the soft nature of the sandstone.
The management thanks you for your co operation.

Disclaimer: Mine exploring can be quite dangerous, but then again it can be alright, it all depends on the weather. Please read the proper disclaimer.
