Hey all,

For those who havent met me, my real name is Matty... :thumbsup:

A while back I posted a question about what people are doing for Christmas day, and a few people sent PM's in return, so Im going firm on a Christmas day out for anyone who would otherwise be alone (Or jews, Muslims, Pagans, Baa Humbugs etc etc) ;D

It will be a nice easy day near Pontneddfechan in South Wales, with a very easy and small through trip, the intention is not so much to be underground, but to be together. :angel:

A BBQ is on, all free. Accomodation the day before or after is also available at my pad down the road, again, free, with as much tea and foreign food as you can eat.

Christmas Eve, and Boxing day will have slightly more challenging events on if anyone wants (or needs) to be away longer.

If you would like to come along, feel free to turn up on the day of course, but a PM would be great so I can get numbers sorted for the BBQ.

For those without wheels, I can collect at Swansea Train Station again, the day before, and drop off etc.

Tis not the season to be miserable and alone... Join us on a Hill, and be miserable and cold instead! 😎

Im up to 3 takers for Christmas day, Still more room for any more Baaaaaaaah Humbugs out there.... Got to be careful with the Baaaaaaah's.... Im in Wales..... 😉

I am in. I have surveys of local mines at Dinas as well as others in the next valley, Little Neath.

My pad is nearer to the mines than Swansea. All welcome

I think it's marvellous idea to be going underground on Christmas day 🙂 Can't make it myself, but would like to send you a xmas pud for the bbq :thumbsup:

Thanks Simon... Beats sitting at home turning channels over to avoid the festivity, or donning a paper hat and pretending to be happy with the folks... ha ha!

For anybody without transport, I can collect from the railway station in Treorchy. Fell free to crash at my pad, just bring sleeping bag and a tooth brush.

Hey, Its a multi purpose device! Drains, Ears, in between the toes, all areas have been tooth brushed!

The thought of someone elses mouth doesnt seem so bad now eh!

Would love to be there Matty, sounds like fun! But I cant. >:(

If my health had been better the OH and I were planning on finding a bothy to hide away in for the 25th!!

Will come down for a visit early in the New Year I hope...test out my hernia repair! Lol.

Yes, I have shifted quite a few tons. The rest are stacked against the outer walls as insulation.
