We'll be four pitches though obviously we'll book them ourselves if its just us.

I think we're up to 3 pitches for Chris/RJV et al, and at least 2 others confirmed (me, and Spencer/RockChick).

I'm vanishing for a week or so tomorrow. I was wondering if it would be worth me phoning them up tomorrow and seeing if we can get 5 or 6 pitches booked. Otherwise a bit worried they might get booked up, if indeed they're not already booked.

We can work out mines and meet up times etc., much closer to the time, there's no rush at all for that. Just don't want to miss the camp site 🙂 I guess we could try wild camping.. but that fails RJV's "stumbling distance to the pub" requirement :lol:

And yes, I think I'll be camping so Vanoord doesn't rail road me into travelling with him and then cruelly drags me away from the beer :lol:

If all else fails Il put you up,on my uncles farm where I work next door,[maentwrog side closer to the oakley arms] probably knowing him for a small fee, It would be nice to put faces to usernames. 🙂

Thanks for the kind offer there jaiyls, much appreciated, unfortunately I'd gone and booked before checking this thread again!

However hopefully we'll bump into you over the weekend.

Camping Update

I've booked 5 pitches, for 10 people, for 2 nights:

Friday 2nd July
Saturday 3rd July

One of the pitches has been booked with an electical hookup so we can charge things :thumbsup:

That should cover RJV/Christrigg and party, me and Spencer and RockChick.

BBQ is no problem provided it's kept off the grass, so we'll have to sort a BBQ out for one night 😉

Anybody else

If anybody else wants to camp and needs a pitch the camp site said they weren't too busy yet that weekend and you can book over the phone on 01766 590240. Mention our group (in my name Simon Lowe) and they'll try to put us all in the same area.

Just a quick bump for this.

Aside from those who have confirmed already, do we have any more wanting to do the trips on the Frdiay and Sunday as well as the CRTT on the Saturday:

Friday 2nd July - metal mine / SRT
Saturday 3rd July - CRTT / SRT
Sunday 4th July - gold / no SRT

Any others confirmed camping other than the 5 pitches already booked?

And the imprtant question... bbq friday or saturday night 😉

I'd vote Saturday but I'll go with the flow. Is there anywhere close to hand that will sell us sausages on an evening?

Jcam was hoping to get over for the Friday and Saturday as well though he was late home from yesterday's trip so he may well have blown his chances already.

I am trying to persuade Mrs.Van that she wishes to camp on the Saturday night.

Current negotiations are going well and I am currently in discussion about the breakfast menu :)

On that basis, I vote for a Saturday barbie!
