Seems there are a fair few coming for the CRTT on 3rd July.

Quite a few people looking at camping, and making a weekend of it. Does anybody have any particular requests for Sunday? Was thinking of some N Wales metal mines.

Anybody up for a long weekend including Friday or Monday?

Well me, Bri, Chris and Rich L were planning to set off Friday lunchtime with the intention of being there by Friday teatime.

Don't know what their thoughts on the matter are but if you're taking a half-day off work it might as well be a full one...

Looks like i'll have to get the day in at work tomorrow then.

We're going to be totally ruined by Sunday.

Bar what I've read in one of RF's manuscripts know next to nothing of metal mines in North Wales.

For starters, how about ...

Bwlch y Plwm - easy pull-though trip.

Pant y Wrach - short SRT trip, near to and could be combined with a Bwlch y Plwm trip.

Catherine and Jane Consols - interesting pumping system remains, chest-deep water in the deep adit and the possibility of an SRT through trip.

Brynfellin (near Beddgelert) - deepish SRT trip (not one I've been in).

Gilfach, Cwm Pennant - another deepish SRT trip (again not done any SRT there - hmm ... is a pattern emerging?)

Drws y Coed - more SRT (yes, there is a pattern)

Prince Edward gold mine - easy walk-in mine with a climb out through the stope.

... and there's more metal mines, at least one of which is very pretty and another that is very interesting.

If you say what sort of thing you're looking for we can probably find something to suit.

Sadly I can't do the whole weekend but could probably do the Sunday. If it would be possible to join up with you then? A deep trip/pull through SRT sounds good to me.....

Friday - metal mine around Betws somewhere *
Saturday - CRTT
Sunday - gold *

* Not being coy, just haven't decided which ones yet!

I guess we'd better try and get something sorted with the camp site ASAP.

Who out of that wants to do either or both the Friday and the Sunday?

And who wants to camp? How many pitches do we need?

Is everybody happy with the suggested camp site? Llechrwd Riverside Campsite http://www.multimap.com/maps/?qs=LL41+4HF+&countryCode=GB . Looks quite nice, will check about BBQs etc.

All three but realistically we won't be there till lunchtime on Friday and will have to get away at a semi-respectable time on Sunday.
Hope that doesn't affect the plans?
