Which one??? The Cornish one just put up or colonel mustards North west one.

Oh well I'll do the Cornish one anyway.... Its thought to mean Head of the Lode according to a Cornish source... or Outcrop of Tin on the Hill!

Local kids during the 1920s used to play a game that involved dropping stones down the shaft which made 'Ding Dong' noises as they rattled to the bottom. The mines correct name is actually the 'B45 Pit'
Ding Dong being a local name for this haematite mine.

STANDBY FOR ACTION!!!!...
