Hi everyone

I've just been told that there may have been another collapse on Brandy Bottle Incline so if anyones in the area it might be an idea to confirm this otherwise it may be a nasty suprise for anyone doing the Hard Level to Brandy Bottle through trip.

Hi Wesker,

On weekend had a short visit to BB and can confirm that there is a fall on the way in. The place is still accessible just not as stable as it was.

Partial collapse can be seen at 05:45 in this vid:

Ah, same place it went last time a couple of years ago.
Hence all the previous repairs / sheeting / plastic buckets in the area.

Why did you turn around at the deep bit, you were about 1/4 of the way through already 😉

Only went to test the helmet camera out & for a bit of "fresh" air ;o)

Doesnt look good, that side wall was flush with the rest of the passage last July and the roof has fared no better.

If we would of had the same amount of snow as last year than i suspect it would have come in completely so repairs are gonna have to be done in the near future.

BTW great video and bril quality too.

The quality certain is decent, a lot of underground videos tend to be totally pants, even if the camera is good above ground.

our underground group have been successfully repairing the fall for the last few weeks,right hand side had to be built back up with stone and mortar,left hand side was bowing so the same applys,take down and rebuild,anyone seen the awesome job we did last year on the re-arching and new keystone on sir francis level up gunnerside gill? really worth a look 😉

Yup, we had a trip to the Sir Francis Level last year, and were in admiration of the work done on the portal.

Presumably you did the Brandy Bottle portal too?
