I have I photo which I wish to put on the forum but can't just sus out how to (it is not in any of the albums in the data base)
There seems to be a button ( Img ) for this when posting a new topic but this is as far as I get!! help... 😞

If it's to do with a mine or quarry go to the relevant one and upload it to the album. Follow the instructions, copy and paste to the message in the forum, under the photo. Similarly you can do the same in your personal album.

Try uploading it to your persona; album ( We all have one of these ), then link to it in the forum by utilising the cide displayed beneath the photo 🙂

Yes, just copy the wording circled in the picture above which should show under your photograph.

It looks like an URL (www.address.co.uk) enclosed by [ img] and [ /img]

As others have said the easiest way might be to upload it to your personal album (linked from the left hand main menu under 'my AditNow.co.uk'.

If for any reason you can't do that (copyright restrictions for example, or just don't want to upload somebody else's image) then grab the actual internet address of the image (you can get this by right clicking in Internet Explorer on the image and looking at the 'Address URL' value.

Paste this into the forum message like this:

http://www.aditnow.co.uk/images/misc/merchandise.gif 

(that's the little t-shirt graphic from the site home page)

And then mark the text in the message (as if applying a style like Bold / Italic etc in Word or such like) if you've got it right the text will appear white on dark blue.

Then click the [Img] button and you'll get something like this appear either side:

[ img ]http://www.aditnow.co.uk/images/misc/merchandise.gif[ /img ]

And when your message is posted it'll appear like this :)

Same thing, just paste the page in like this (site home page)

The select the whole address as if you were going to Bold / Italic or Underline in Word and click the URL button (next to Img) you'll get something like

http://www.aditnow.co.uk/default.aspx  [ /url ]

And when your message is posted it'll look like this http://www.aditnow.co.uk/default.aspx 

Some forums have more sophisticated linking, like linking a word or a picture, but I did it this was 'cos it's easy.

The line under the B i u Quote Img URL Center buttons above where you write your forum messages will change to when you hover over a button to tell you (hopefully!) what the button does 🙂
