Following hot on the heels of the new SuperSize page I've just uploaded a new Photo page template.

The Photo page being the one that displays the normal size photos, e.g.

Improvements are:

- Much improved breadcrumb trail*

- New layout, hopefully easier to read at a glance, easier buttons for 'discuss', 'vote' and 'supersize'

- Over time the cached images will be cleared out and regenerated - meaning they'll fill the full width of the black area

- New navigator that shows 2 images either side of the currently selected - better than the old basic forwards / backwards

- Improvements to the voting tool and easier to use copy and paste forum embed code

* This will become a lot more logical in a few weeks when the new Album page is uploaded; and then again even more obvious where things are going in about 6 weeks when the new Mine home page is uploaded.

And we're back!

Sorry about that 15 minutes or so of downtime. The new photo page displays photos a little larger than the old one. So I had 83,000+ photos cached photos at the old size to delete.

Had to be done with the server offline.

All back up and running now; and the server is getting on with caching the photos at the new larger size.

A bit bigger, sharper and clearer than before. Particularly the vertical images which now fill the full width.

I've just noticed that it's possible to leave a comment on a photo without identifying themselves. I can't think of a positive reason why anyone would want to do that.

Been that way for about 9 years ;-)

The user ID is always logged in the database though, so they can be investigated if they're abusive.

I believe that's always been the case, rather than it being a feature of the new page.
