We could do with an AN visit there too, if such a thing is possible.

It's a shame others don't follow the same excellent example set by Boulby with their monthly visits for interested groups. They (Boulby) cannot be commended enough in these times of overzealous H&S bulshizzle for devoting their time & effort in giving many people the opportunity to see such an amazing place (time is money as they say)

Well said Jimbo.

I have asked if a trip would be possible, but they don't run them any more 😞 however if you're a customer (either for salt or storage) they'll show you round... So if 8 of us decided to put a box each into storage we'd be in with a chance 🙂 I think at least one person who works there is registered on here, so if they want to make an exception... 😉

This looks an interesting place; bit far for weekend visit.

That's some deposit.
The past is a foreign country: they do things differently there.

We asked for a tour here last year, we are on a 2 year waiting list 😢

I would say Boulby have had enough of us mine explorers! But I may be wrong.

It would appear not! http://www.aditnow.co.uk/community/viewtopic.aspx?p=35719#msg35719

Disclaimer: Mine exploring can be quite dangerous, but then again it can be alright, it all depends on the weather. Please read the proper disclaimer.
