Sorry, but i have another idea to discuss..... 😢

There are quite a few very informative sites that are mine specific, and due to copyright cannot be saved, converted to PDF and uploaded to Aditnow.
So, would it be a simple job to have a link section on each mine/quarry to accomodate?

Aaagghh, more work for me!

And there I was thinking I'd finished now I'd got those funky little maps working on the mine home pages :(

In the short term the links page could be used for this - I update it fairly regularly.

Yes they refer to some local stuff which has long since gone. for example .....

Ah yes, I see what you mean, Barney.... & I can understand your reasons for requesting it. How about packaging just the website address in a PDF and uploading that as a "Futher Info Source" type document ?

Excellent piece too.

Another thing for Master Simon: I have been creating lots of mines in my area at the moment and in several i have included a link to another site with more info these however do not display as a link even if the coding is used!
As here: http://www.aditnow.co.uk/mines/Excelsior-tunnel-Tin-Mine/  meaning the front piece for the mine locks a bit messy!
may i sagest that using a simple set of formatting options as in normal posts where links display as so and simple formatting such as being able to put a mere space would be good?
sorry Simon no rest for the wicked is there ? 8)

I shall add this to the list, it shouldn't be a major deal.

The reason the [ img ] code doesn't work is simply because it's not implemented, it is currently specific to the forum, and not in the mine descrptions. When it's done (week or two perhaps I'm afraid given current work schedule) I'll add a note to the site updates thread.

I've updated the add/edit mine page and the add/edit album page so that basic styling can be applied to the mnie or album descriptions. You can apply:

- Bold
- Italic
- Underline, and

- Link

Works the same as the forum, so if you add an external web site, type it in full (http:// etc) and then highlight the address and click the URL button.

As with the forum it gets replaced with the word 🔗 and opens in a new window.

Hopefully that'll suffice Barney and Ferret?

Hang on, did I miss a point here?
When you say you couldn't cause of copyright. Did you mean authors copyright or web page protection?

Authors copyright-Now that Simon has added the links bit to each mine page, the link can be added there!

Everybody happy with this little upgrade then?

FYI this week's improvements are scheduled to be:

1) Big data import, new mines courtesy of Barney, Nimrod and Sparty_Lea

2) New function to delegate album creation to certain members

3) 'View all' function to see all photos in a mine from all albums

4) Photo widgets to specify ordering and number per page of album photos

And my chances of doing that all in one week are?

Knowing how quickly you do things on this site probably by midnight tonight!
