You'd probably have a problem with only 15s to play with. Doesn't give much time in larger chambers unless you've got a really powerful light.

Bulb is the setting on the camera where the shutter stays open until you press again to close it, or on older SLRs stays open as long as the shutter button is depressed.

Ahh well, it,s better than nothing. Besides I rarely photograph big chambers, and when I do I tend to flash a couple of flashes around about 15 times - and that usually works! I think the finix you,re using would be ideal for tunnels however, because flashes are mostly just too bright and my LED headlamp hasnt got a very wide spread beam, which isnt ideal for photos taken down tunnels.

I bought a couple of Fenix off Simon and along with my cap lamp produced these images, which I consider not bad for a first trip out. No flash, just LED. The last image has been stitched from pics 4 & 5. But for a £120 Point & Shoot camera you can't expect anything else.

I know there's no scale markers here but the workings are about 30 -40 feet long and 10-12 feet at the highest point.

In larger spaces, one way of overcoming light drop off would be to mentally map and consider the scene as a series of layers and apply light to various sections of those layers. These separate images will then of course have to be merged and blended in your chosen software but the above shows it can be done. So long as the resultant image is portrayed as being a stitched image and not made out to be a single shot then I see no reason why the method can't be used or accepted.

The digital age has thrown up many conundrums for established processes and peoples assumed perception of what is real or whatever is being challenged. How many people for example if questioned in depth about Google Maps will tell you - Isn't it marvelous that a satellite can see the car parked in your drive at home. The reality as far as Google Maps is concerned is that higher resolution imagery is done with conventional AP. I'm not saying they (Google) portray it as anything else. But people will assume anything anyway if it suits.

Just a note here: In the last image above you will note that there are 3 underwater light sources but I only have 2 Fenix I promise.

The only criticism of the Fenix I'd make as a photo light source is it's very focussed (well the plain reflector ones are, the dimpled reflector models are slightly more diffuse). So you do have to be careful not to point it at a fixed spot as you either open or close the shutter. And wave it around very quickly when lighting something close by 😉
