Serious bit of kit.. But, no I dont think so. The good thing about the light canon is the physical size / output ratio. Its small enough to fit in my bag unobtrusively and yet put out a beautifuly powerfull beam.

You have just answered my next question Nimrod, you have a light cannon! I saw Simon use his once and bought one briskly after! 😉

Quite funy really.. I wonder if UK realise that so many of their canons are being used by mine explorers rather than divers ...

An essential piece of kit. Mine took my photography to a new level .

I bought mine from Go Dive:

http://www.godive.net/gdtorch4.htm

Although they used to sell them for rather less than the current £220 (£160 IIRC).

Alternatively:

They crop up on eBay every now again, but as driver module and bulbs are both in the region of £60 I'd be slightly suspect of a 2nd hand one.

I paid £212 at stoney cove dive shop, 'underwater world' the shop is called.

Disclaimer: Mine exploring can be quite dangerous, but then again it can be alright, it all depends on the weather. Please read the proper disclaimer.
