I came across this site by pure chance.
Some really good industrial type shots here, and ok many of them are posed, but the execution of the lighting is superb.

I don't mind the posing at all - they remind me very much of some of Burrow's work, which I consider the most inspirational too, in terms of lighting and composition. He's the Timothy O'Sullivan of the mining world, IMO.

So I really enjoyed looking at these, not least because the lighting is so well set-up. Beautiful stuff.

Thanks all for the comments on my photos. I was wondering where all the extra traffic was coming from.

Yup, a lot of these are posed (and are from the same company) I have them setup in specific situations so that I can let them according to my standards. Most of the lighting within mine sites and such suck........bigtime, and in order to get those "candid" shots you either have to put the flash on camera, or shoot with a high ISO. IMO, neither of those give the images impact. I'm pretty specific on my lighting and it's VERY simply. I use lumopro flash heads with pocket wizards to trigger them.

Most shots take under 5 minutes to setup and shoot, as I have to be quick to get in and out so I do not disrupt production.
