I have seen a tiny fraction of the UK's mines, despite being exploring for 8 years now, but recently I've thought more about doing foreign visits. The catacombes of Paris and coal mines of Belgium are the ones many seem to go for, but after I've been to Sweden looking at mines this summer I hope, I have some ideas about other places.
So, as a huge county, and with having heard many times rumours of enormous mines in Russia, coal mines on the Yamal, Iron workings in Siberia, many, many others. Next year, if I learn better Russian, I might be temped to consider this, as it seems that no mine exploring done in Russia has really come to our attention much, apart from those recent salt mine pics and a couple of other galleries.
Any pointers would be appreciated. Also I'm not sure where mine exploring stands in Russian law, some countries don't like it...
