I recall being very surprised to find an otter staring back at me from the far side of the pool.

Is there anybody that can send us a google image with a arrow on so we know which Adit has the water in and where we can park;)

I am hopeless with google maps and don't know how to put an arrow there.

https://www.google.co.uk/maps/place/Dinas-Mawddwy/@52.710734,-3.7010658,375m/data=!3m1!1e3!4m2!3m1!1s0x486567313670b3a9:0x258b4715c6c31ccc?hl=en

Dead centre of the picture is a shadow - the adit is in there. Directly to the right you will see a ruined building, you walk up the hill/footpath and go right past this. in front of you is a tunnel (short) carrying a stream though (drainage) go through this to reach the quarry where the entrance is (the shadow). There is only one entrance in there and it is a very small quarry. Water level at the entrance will be between knee depth and thigh depth.

Here is the best place to park;

https://www.google.co.uk/maps/place/Dinas-Mawddwy/@52.7122016,-3.6913647,375m/data=!3m1!1e3!4m2!3m1!1s0x486567313670b3a9:0x258b4715c6c31ccc?hl=en

The sandy "square" in the middle is also by the footpath you need to take to "snake" up the hill to the ruined building and entrance.

Enjoy and have fun :)

Thank you so much just to clarify that is the correct one to do a dive ?

It looks about 350 meters is that about right ?

It is the correct one to dive, I don't know about 350 metres - I assume you mean from the entrance to the dive chamber? (if you do, yes it is about that and the chamber is on the left when you reach the first fork).

Your best bet is probably just to park at the small industrial estate at the bottom of the incline & have a quick dash up to have a look for yourself. If you don't faff around & aren't carrying kit its an hour of your life plus however long you spend talking at the lake.

nice one;) sounds like upper dinas that takes us a hour with our kit... Cheers

I'd probably stress that its an hour if you're a fit hillwalker & not carrying kit. It is a relatively steep incline & quite a sizeable one.

Aye, i've walked to Upper Dinas and the walk up to Minllyn is considerably steeper and rougher.
