Last week I called in to have a look at the old tungsten mines at Borralhas in northern Portugal.
What a treat - open shafts and levels including a ginormous skip wound incline (open). Winders in place (except where the local apanhistas have burnt the expensive bits out). A complete mining village, all looking a bit sad.
Get there before they re-open the mine. They are drilling at the present.
