If checking this site online or in published works, it is often named as Craleckan Furnace or Argyle Furnace.
The Historic Scotland website (https://canmore.org.uk/site/23401/craleckan-ironworks-furnace) states that is was scheduled as an ancient monument in 2000. This will severely restrict what can be done to the structure and enables owners to more readily apply for financial support to safeguard it from decay. This structure is, I believe, privately owned so it would be up to its owners whether to carry out preservation works.
The degree to which it will have been recorded can be advised on by Historic Scotland: their online catalogue lists a number of photos and plans / drawings.
Scheduling however cannot easily compel an owner to care for a structure. If you have evidence that a scheduled structure is deteriorating and is not cared for then contacting Historic Scotland (or Cadw in Wales, and Historic England in England) will bring the issue to their attention and maximise their opportunity to intervene if they consider it necessary.
