I went on a vist to Lochaline Sand Mine yesterday, I will try and post a few pictures later.

The company has a collection of old photographs of the mine at the office with a couple of early plans on the wall. They are happy to show these to people on request if they ask at the office.

Britain from Above has two 1951 images which show the original processing plant near the old pier and the narrow gauge railway. There seems to be a dam above the plant which was presumably erected in WWII to provide a water supply for the plant and a large group of prefabs(?) again presumably for the workforce.
