watermill lades, explore the adits for good iron
ore samples, and hear the story! Reasonable
level of fitness required. Bring wet weather
clothing, wear stout walking boots/shoes and

geology of these mica quarries near Contin, and
learn how mica was important during WWII with
Highland Geological Society and the Ranger.
Walking over paths and rough ground at low
level. Reasonable level of fitness required.
