Clogau gold mine project now under full control of mineral exploration firm
A mineral exploration firm has agreed to take control of the venture to develop Clogau gold mine and other potential sites in the Dolgellau gold belt.

It was announced last year that the AIM-listed Alba Mineral Resources plc

Hi there
Do you know if they are interested in prospecting Gwynfydd Gold Mine. Just about every entrance there appears to have been gated/ grilled in the last 2 years.

Gwynfynydd is not within their Crown Exploration License area, unless things have changed very recently.

I realise it's going off the thread, but do you know anything about the Gwynfynydd gates & grills? They are very new & shiney and looks like no expense spared. DaveB

Probably due to the large amount of h2s gas present within the mine and also it's easily accessible from walking/biking trails. Either that or someone plans to develop it further, there's definitely gold still in Gwynfynydd, there's lots of ways in also...;D
