Hi guys can anyone tell me anything about this mine please i am thinking of going up for an explore the tips look extensive looks like a big mine, cheers Keith.

I think there's probably far too much to easily summarise.
There are whole chapters on it in two recent books.
British Mining No 91 - Mines of the West Pennines.
Richard Smith & Sam Murphy
Cross Fell and Mines of the Cumbrian Pennines
Ian Tyler
Both have a vast amount of information, but it seems the Tyler one is already out of print.

Actually its probably worth mentioning its in an MOD firing range, so you need to make sure you go on a non-firing day.

.... And because it's MOD property stick to footpaths & underground access is prohibited.

I don't know for sure but worth checking that WRITTEN permission is needed from MOD? It certainly was a few years ago for the Mickle Fell Stirling crash site.
