I know a few regulars are unable to manage this Thursday, but anyone else fancy an amble somewhere?

Any ideas?
I'll throw in Conglog as a suggestion simply because I haven't been there before and it looks pretty straightforward yet worth lugging a camera to.

Any other thoughts?

Conglog is a very good one for an evening visit, and quite a lot to photograph as you've seen :)

Go past the lake on the Wrysgan side past the Rhosydd chapel to the gate that is about level with the Conglog mill and Cwmorthin mine manager house - then head up towards the Rhosydd tips. The adit is about half way up on the left just below the track. It's quite easy to miss. You'll see some small open pits on the right, that's about the level where the adit is - just below the track.

Hope that made sense!

Adit is wet - but below welly depth these days (was a year ago at least) thanks as I understand it to Steve Turbo? :)

Thanks Simon.
I'm sure it won't be wet - after all, hasn't rained in weeks.

So, suggestion number 1 is Gonglog, meeting in Cwmorthin car park at 6pm.

Suggestion 2 anyone?

Or possibly Rhosydd without Croesor? How much of it are you familiar with, Willy E?

Sorry John, Skimble's suggestion of Rhosydd sounded like fuller evening. We could have a quick look at the Conglog adit as we pass, to see how cold and wet it is. πŸ˜‰
Are you bored with Rhosydd then?

Oh damnit, I want to see rhosydd.
Think i'll have to miss this one though might not be able to get the last train home and dont want to drag someone out after only being in there for a few hours. 😞

Looking forward to the week after though!

I can see myself regretting this in the middle of the night, but Blober if you'd really like to come along I'll run you back if the last train's gone. ::)

You guys are far too nice haha 😞

Honestly dont worry you know, me and Jay can go check it out sometime or wait untill we next do a trip down there. I feel bad enough getting Jay to pick me up and we live in the same town

You'd also have to deal with me taking 4 years to get up the inclines :glare:
