This is, of course, a truly awful photo I took in 2007 of a chamber, or chamber like tunnel in Dinorwig Quarry. Hopefully it gives some idea of scale though. Once upon I time I knew the names of levels and pits at this quarry but that was long ago, though essentially Dali's Hole has various tunnels leading off it.
On the far left is a gated tunnel, probably leading to the bottom of Chwarel Garret, whilst high on the right, is a wide tunnel leading to a Sinc which was used to carry a water leat. Below where this tunnel enters a pit working, the aforementioned chamber opens out below. An adit lead from this chamber to the side of Dali's Hole near the present day footpath though this has since been blocked off, presumably when the big fence was put up.
Curious, has anyone else been here? It certainly looks like a chamber to me, though having asked around, no-one seems to know where it is (I haven't really asked many quarrymen here).
