Hey people 🙂 Haven't explored many mines around here, though Beddgelert is one of my favourite places in Snowdonia, I've only ever been to Sygun, interesting place but I'm wondering if there are any mines in the area, other than Sygun, where SRT isn't needed. So does anyone know where this adit may lead to to or if there are other accessible underground workings around Beddgelert?

Thanks :)

If this is the adit on top of the main spoil heap at Cwm Bychan then the adit leads into the mine workings which are not great in size.

Imagine a giant letter "T" and the entrance is at the foot of the letter "T" - that's the workings.

There is a higher level and some stope workings which are extremely difficult (and pointless) to access.

Quite a pretty mine but small 😉

Agreed, all nice but small u/g workings.

If you've not been its well worth a visit though. As well as a few (small) holes to poke around in (take wellies for the one in the photo) the scenery is wonderful, its a nice walk and there is the aerial ropeway remains to look at 🙂

Thanks Both, even if I don't get there this time it will be useful for anyone else who wants to visit 🙂 I've seen pics of the aerial ropeway pylons, reminds me of Siverband mine up here.
