From the local Council paper in Gwynedd:

A national touring exhibition hosted by Gwynedd Concil's Achive Service will shed new light on our industrial past this summer.

Powering the World: Looking at Welsh Industry through Archives will be on display at Caernarfon Archives during August before moving on to teh Dolgwllau Archives in September.

The exhibition aims to raise awareness of the wealth of knowedge that industrial records can reveal about our ancestors' day to day lives.

Of special local interest will be records from Gwynedd's slate quarrying industry.

August: Caernarfon Archives
September: Dolgellau Archive
my orders are to sit here and watch the world go by

Disclaimer: Mine exploring can be quite dangerous, but then again it can be alright, it all depends on the weather. Please read the proper disclaimer.
