There was an item on Countryfile this evening about Clogau Gold Mine, Bontddu.

It showed Cllr Gethin Williams and Ed McDermott of Gold Mines of Wales showing the Countryfile reporter around the Ty'n y Cornel adit.

Strange that the went to that adit and not the Llechfraith adit as that is on Gethin William's land. As I understand it, the Ty'n y Cornel adit area is owned by another local farmer.

Is it just me or was it a really boring piece. A few minutes of airtime that gave nothing away. I guess its good to see mines on prime time tv though.

As they (at least the land owner) is in a legal dispute I doubt they can give anything away!

I guess so, which begs the question why did they agree to go on tv! 😉

Presumably to show the world at large that they are the 'recognised owners'.

Even if they aren't! 😉

I wonder if this puts the BBC in a bit of dilemma?
