Hi Chaps: i'm heading down to North Wales for a few days around Conwy area , are there any easy access mines in the area ?
as i will have the wife in tow they can't involve any climbing
and preferably without water

and if possible a fitted carpet and flourecent lighting central heating and piped music throughout
If you get my Drift

Cwmorthin, just outside Blaenau Ffestiniog, is the obvious one to suggest.

It's a 15 minute walk up to the adit from the car park, mostly dry on Lake Level, but no fitted carpet!

Thanks for that ! A 15 minute walk might just be on the boundary of her capability, don't suppose there's an arm chair up there for her or a pub ? LOL

It's at the back of the chamber that used to have the machinery in it on lake level. Look through the "window" into the chamber, it's on the right.

I want a picture of someone on that at some point, just not sure how to get to it without losing a limb.

Thought i was correct,it's a back filled chamber and very loose,there is also a carpet in there i have seen i think it's light brown and rolled up somewhere,what you need is a photo of someone in the chair with a pipe and slippers. :thumbsup:

alrite lads,ive recently been exploreing 1 set of mines in ffestiniog,,had a great time wiv the lads,went up through about 5 different levels b4 climbing bk out around the top,bit wet in some levels,but fun...

also,does any1 know any way i cud get a hold of the number combination to 1 ov the 2 pad locks on the gate on the opposite side ov the lake as i have taken the numbers of the 3 contact information n im haveing no luck gettin in touch wiv them,any ideas plz......
