Just wondering if anyone has visited these mines are has any information on them. Lanestosa is SE of Ramales, not far from Matienzo.
David Bick referred to them as being where Capt. Matthew Francis died whilst on an inspection. Later (1870's) they were taken on by a company managed by John Taylor & Sons, which was reported fairly frequently in the Mining Journal & of which there is a prospectus in the Times online.
A web search located details of a walk from the village which mentions passing various entrances.
If anyone can add to the above would be most grateful.
