There seems to be lots of interesting stuff I've not seen before, but it looks like it'll take a few hours to read everything.

Certainly worth a look.

Hmmm.. thank you for that :)

I've not heard of Cris Ebbs before, but I shall probably order one of his books on the Milwr Tunnel - there's a page of stuff for sale at this http://sites.google.com/site/flintshireleadmining/feedback

I reviewed the Milwr Tunnel book when it first came out - it is great read and a fantastic little book. The second edition colour is well worth having but a bit pricey because he did it through print on demand it wasn't worth me stocking

I have just found in my old archives a old zerox copy of Driving a Mines Drainage Tunnel in North wales.. by J.L.Francis & J.C.Allan. January 21st 1932. it has shot diagrams, costing of wages, driving etc.etc.line drawings of tunnel etc. and day by day drivage figures. also one foto of Track and grip showing electric loco. with 3 men nearby, loco on raised track, anyone seriously interested in that tunnel may borrow the book ( I think copyright is out of date, not sure but it is 77 years old.) just pay for postage...its all on trust, I would like the book to return to its brothers and sisters. :smartass:

I think you might be wrong there Mike, according to this
http://www.opsi.gov.uk/acts/acts1988/ukpga_19880048_en_2#pt1-ch1-pb4-l1g12

in section 12 it lists that :
(1) Copyright in a literary, dramatic, musical or artistic work expires at the end of the period of 50 years from the end of the calendar year in which the author dies, subject to the following provisions of this section.

I am not sure that is the whole story. I am certain it depends on when a written work was published. This was discussed in detail on another thread on here a couple of months ago.

Any lawyers on here that might be able to clear this up ?
