On Ebay today, there is a small cup with an illustration of Mill Morgan Gold Mine, Merioneth. It does not seem to feature in our mines index. Was it known by some other name. Sorry don't have exact location in Ebay but Mill Morgan in search box will find it.
Don't wait for a light to appear at the end of the tunnel, stride down there and light the damn thing yourself

The picture on the mug looks like the photos of the old Gwynfynydd mill just above the confluence of the Mawddach and the Cain. (See George Hall's The Gold Mines of Merioneth 2nd edition pages 52 and 56.)

Morgan was "The Welsh Gold King", William Pritchard Morgan 1844-1924.

Gwynfynydd Gold Mine has been known at various times as Morgan Mine, Gwyn Mines and Gwynfynydd.

It certainly does look like the mill at Gwynfynydd, prior to the fire?
I would imagine that this particular item that is offered for sale would have been bought at the tourist shop sometime prior to 1997.

It looks older than that. IIRC everything in the shop was branded Gwynfynydd Gold Mines with their G logo.

Morgan Gold Mining Co. Ltd ran from 1888 to 1892.
The cup was 'Manufactured in Germany' and probably dates from that period.

Gold is where you find it
