From my recent blondin lessons, I'd say that's a Henderson type of Blondin (like the Penrhyn ones) rather than the Dinorwig style. The pic of the winding / hauling drums clears a lot of confusion up in my mind - ta for uploading them, Graham.
I'd assume that there is not much left at Penyrorsedd of the the blondin syste, although I'm pretty sure I've seen pics of one or two of the blondin carriages/travelers sat in a shed there?
A second thought is that although the tractor-haulage of the wagons seems a bit odd, I suppose it's basically the same as a horse pulling a canal boat.
