also... does anyone know more or less - how many levels there are within Penrhyn. I know that most of the produce is transported down to Red Lion level for dust treatment etc... Anyone any idea how many of the lower floors are flooded within the sinc?

Don't know precisely, but something like 20 levels over 1200 feet sounds about right. Happy to be corrected on this - and don't know how many underwater (I did hear a rumour there's a Euclid dumper at the bottom of the sinc though)

The map is the territory - especially in chain scale.

Might the photos be better donated to Gwynedd Archives?

Yes. The big flooded hole is visible from the zip wire and also from an unofficial but well-used path.

Mike,

I am interested in contacting you about the book. I have sent a message to the business you suggested but haven't had a reply. If it hasn't reached you, please send me a PM.
