Anyone here ever properly explorerd Llanberis Copper Mine?

Looking at my dad's photos, (70s) I can see that they're of stoping. He said he went in through the lower entrance. I'll ask if it's the one now gated.

Is the lower adit the one below the road, just above the level of Llyn Peris?

Might be having a proper look at Llanberis CM in June. Watch this space as they say...

Hi Simon,

General condition and size of the mine

Are there any access issues, are the adits clear.

If there is numerous levels are any of the pitches bolted / or is it wonky ladders etc

Should give me an idea what to take and what to expect :thumbsup:

Myself and a friend drive past there a few times a week on the way home from work and I've still not gotten round to going in after 2 years.

I think Jon Knowles (CATMHS) has explored this mine and probably put some bolts in - not sure if he is registered on aditnow. PM me and I'll pass on his email address.
